Through our United States Associate, International Logistical Support, Inc.., located in Dulles, Virginia, a close liaison is maintained with US Government agencies such as U.S. Aid, US Department of Agriculture (USDA), as well as with private voluntary organizations such as CARE, World Food Program (WFP), Catholic Relief Service (CRS), ADRA, World Vision, Africare and others concerning the status of food aid or other U.S. Government financed assistance programs.
Representation of principle throughout all phases of contract negotiation and enfreightment operations.
To compile and provide a regular flow of operation reports and pertinent statistical data together with the appropriate documentation.
Gather and examine all export shipping documentation and provide loading and/or discharge progress reports.
Representation of Charterers/Owners interest and co-ordination of the timely flow and loading of commodities with affiliated freight forwarders in all major ports.
If requested, to appoint Charterer Agents and co-ordinate the discharge of the commodity at ports of discharge.
To review and approve/disapprove laytime statements presented by owners, involving computations of demurrage/dispatch and to endeavor to resolve, on Charterers' behalf, any difficulties related to the Owners freight account.
To handle and process any claims, arrange arbitration, should it be necessary, and to suggest appropriate attorneys as required.
To conduct rapid, precise and timely communications with Charterers' headquarters either locally or abroad.
